Velvet Touch Academy offers continuing education classes to those professionals in the industry that would like to learn new techniques to build on and advance their current skills.  These various classes are offered on Mondays.  

Clipper Fundamentals

Clipper Fundamentals is a Demo and Hands-on Workshop that will not only teach you the fundamentals of clippers and clipper maintenance, it will open you up to a whole new world of cutting hair.  You will learn from one of Oster's own Clipper Ambassadors, Charles Campbell.  This class will cover hair shaping, skip guard tapering, clipper over comb, clipper over finger, business cuts, flat tops, various fade techniques and lining and finishing.  ($200)

Clipper Advanced

Clipper Advanced is a Demo and Hands-on Workshop that will take your clipper fundamental knowledge and show you that you can do any haircut with clippers and not only will you get a softer finish you will complete it in less time then doing the same cut with shears.  You will learn from one of Oster's own Clipper Ambassadors, Charles Campbell.  This class will cover solid form (0 degree), layering techniques, A-line cuts, texture techniques, bangs, face framing, Ceaser Texture cut and Fo-Hawks.  ($200)

Color Advanced

Color Advanced is a Demo and Hands-on Workshop that will teach you everything you wanted to know about color and explain anything you already know but don't understand.  You will learn from our very own chemist, Charles Campbell.  This class will cover the chemistry of color, color correction, color placement/block color, tone-on-tone, lighteners, fillers, toners and more.  ($200)

Acrylic Advanced

Acrylic Advanced is a Demo and Hands-on Workshop that will help you improve on your techniques and time efficiency.   This class will cover a centerline technique, pink & white tips and forms, backfill, no well tips, corrective forms, electric file, balancing techniques, finishing techniques, 3D art and more.  ($200)

Gel Advanced
